Hello There…

My name is Lauren.

I am a clinical herbalist and plant spirit practitioner with a focus on the intersection of body, mind, heart, and soul. I was opened to the world of herbalism as a teenager growing up in Rhode Island. Growing and using plant medicine rocked my world and offered a way of life that was not only sane, but inspiring and beautiful. In my darkest moments of soul-aching depression, anxiety, and self-hatred, herbal medicine sowed a seed of hope. I truly believe it saved my life.

In 2015 I apprenticed with herbalist and ethnobotanist Rachel Thomas of The Hidden Garden in Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica. I became interested in my own ancestral herbal legacy and how plant medicine can heal ancestral trauma. In 2016 I moved to Washington state and began a three year apprenticeship with herbalist and healer Joyce Netishen of Fire Rose Farm. It was here I learned how to work with plants to heal the spirit and soul, grow a botanical garden, and make beautiful potent herbal medicine.

My work with plant medicine has transformed my life at all levels. I see the world as inherently alive and each of us as an integral piece of that aliveness. Working with plants necessarily shifts our relationship to space and time in ways that are sustainable and beautiful. I am committed to the empowerment, liberation, and revolutionary sense of belonging that plant medicine is able to offer us. I currently offer in-person and online herbal consultations, soul medicine, as well as classes and writings.
